LA DANSE, TU L’AIMES OU TU LA KIFFES

About Freya

With over a decade of experience, Freya has made a name for herself as a celebrated dancer and aerial acrobat, gracing stages across the world in Belgium, Paris, Australia, Los Angeles, New York, Amsterdam and beyond. Her professionalism, enthusiasm, and boundless creativity have left a lasting impression wherever she goes. Freya’s extensive network is a testament to her work ethic and magnetic presence, having collaborated with nearly every major player in the performing arts scene.

In 2013, Freya founded her own company, stepping into the roles of dancer, choreographer, cultural project manager and agent. Since then, she’s been the driving force behind Performing Arts Consultancy, a platform for cultivating talent and empowering artists. Not stopping there, she went on to create Jacowbski Invites and Dansvloer Leuven, providing a stage for (semi)professional dancers to grow, refine their skills, and connect with a larger artistic community. Her passion lies in creating dance opportunities for others, particularly for young dancers, filling a gap she herself experienced during her early years.

As the Artistic Director of WAYS Training Program in Brussels, Freya has curated a dynamic and cutting-edge curriculum for contemporary dancers, setting a new standard in professional dance education. With her exhaustive network of industry leaders and experts, she is committed to nurturing the next generation of dancers, ensuring they’re equipped to thrive in the world of performing arts.

With a degree from the Free University of Brussels, Freya possesses a rare and valuable skill: the ability to bridge the gap between the creative world of artists and the structured, business-focused realm of employers. She speaks both the language of artistic expression and the rational, executive language of the event and theatre industries, making her a natural communicator and negotiator. This unique talent allows her to create seamless collaborations, ensuring that artistic visions are realized within the practical frameworks of the industry.

Freya’s influence stretches beyond just choreography and performance—she’s a community builder, a mentor, and a visionary shaping the future of dance in Belgium and beyond.
